World
Breastfeeding Week 1-7 August
Breast
milk is the most important gift that a mother can give her child
during the first year of life and the Peer-Led Breastfeeding
Volunteers and their families are inviting other mothers and their
families to help celebrate World Breastfeeding Week in August.
Ngala,
in partnership with Northern Metropolitan Area Health Service and the
Australian Breastfeeding Association, through Communities for Children
and the Smith Family, has developed a Peer-Led Breastfeeding Support
Program across five Perth suburbs: Balga, Girrawheen, Koondoola,
Westminster and Mirrabooka.
The
Peer-Led Breastfeeding Support Program volunteers and the families
supported by the program are hosting a morning tea to celebrate World
Breastfeeding Week, to be held at 10am on Wednesday, 2 August at the
Mirrabooka Square Shopping Centre.
For
more details call Ngala on 9368 9368.
