Does your child wake at night?

Each year over 12,000 parents tell Ngala that they have some difficulty with managing their childrenís sleep or their own level of fatigue

Australian research shows that 45 to 55 per cent of Australian families experience sleep difficulties with children in their first year of life.  Did you know that 49 per cent of all babies are still waking on their first birthday?  A third of four year olds also wake once in the night.

Ngala has been assisting families and professionals in adjusting childrenís sleep patterns for many years, and is now well recognised and recommended by many thousands of parents and professionals in WA

Ngala conducts education sessions on sleep at four locations around Perth in Kensington, Butler, Joondalup Noranda and Rockingham, and the research curriculum covers:

* importance of sleep and effects of lack of sleep
* what happens when we sleep, sleep cycles and sleep habits
* understanding crying, baby communication and different types of cries
* safe sleeping and preparing environments for sleep
* strategies to improving sleep pattens

The two-hour groups sessions are age specific: You and Your New Baby (up to 12 weeks); Growing Baby (three to six months); And So To Sleep (seven months to two years); and Now in a Bed (two to five years)

To book into a education session that will assist you to work with your child and adjust sleep habits, call Ngala  on 9368 9368. Some guidelines can also be found in the For Parents section at www.ngala.com.au
