We may have shivered and
sniffled our way through winter, but the first shoots of spring are
already on the way.
Heaps of family activities
are happening this month, not least of which is the Avon Valley
Descent. Local councils including the Cities of Bayswater and Belmont
are hosting free family fun days on the banks of the Swan River.
Entertainers, free food and drinks, giant screens and marquees as well
as live race commentary should make it a memorable day for all.
If youíd like to celebrate
National Tree Day on Sunday August 2 why not join a community
planting? Itís a great way for the family to enjoy time together and
help promote environmental awareness. Contact Planet Ark at
treeday.planetark.org for details.
If you still need to snuggle
indoors why not try all the entertainment offered right through August
during the Perth Winter Arts Festival? Visit www.perthwinterartsfestival.com.au
for details.
Finally, donít forget to
visit our website www.kidsinperth.com,
which will soon be expanded to incorporate everything you love about
Kids In Perth ñ The Parentsí Paper ñ and more! Keep looking for
those green shoots!
